Yesterday, DP Philip Bloom posted the story of Danny Dale of D2visions.com who recently caught site of Robert Rodriquez filming in Zilker Park in Austin, Texas.“DSLR cameras have hit the big time,” says Steve Weiss, Director of FilmFellas/critics.
On set shooting a new music video for Bob Schneider, Robert Rodriguez (Desperado, Grindhouse, & Once Upon a Time in Mexico) and his DP Jimmy Lindsey are seen shooting on 2 Canon 7Ds with the Zacuto Z-finder DSLR Viewfinder and a totally pimped out Zacuto DSLR Sniper rig. Yes, the age of convergence is here!

Isaac Asimov and Ray Bradbury are certainly on my reading list, but I admit I haven’t got much use for the usual fare of science fiction or gaming, either in print or on film. It’s really hard for me to get excited about paying to see a bunch of other-worldly characters who are mostly mean and just plain ugly. I’ve also got a history with disliking cartoons and animated films. Just ask my mom. As a very young movie goer, I hid under the seat when the warty witch filled the screen of Snow White. I knew what looked nasty, and I wasn’t having any. Four years old, and already a film critic!

Small Pleasures by Constantin Pilavios
Constantin is a master story teller and I love his work. Incredible use of screen direction, character movement, perspective & framing. Sound quality, design and foley are stupendous and really make this feel more Hollywood than indie quality filmmaking. Wonderful use of natural lighting, planned out and shot at the correct times of day. What I love about his work, it’s not only beautiful images, it’s beautiful story telling and it moves us. The surprise ending is wonderful; although, I would take out of your description "a big secret was revealed," and let the viewer experience that on his own. Just a joy to watch. I am a huge fan of your work Constantin, and would love to meet you. Keep producing your work, you are the king of the web. ~ Steve
